Key Responsibilities
The Proposal Author/Writer/Editor creates engaging and persuasive copy to help win work/client/customer/project. They collaborate with proposal teams at each stage of the sales process to write and edit RFx responses, oral presentations, and other sales related materials. They ensure compliance, consistency of messaging, and alignment with client objectives.
The Proposal Author/Writer/Editor may be assigned across industries and may respond to various proposal sections.
The Proposal Author/Writer/Editor:
– Participates in proposal storyline sessions with solution architects and key stakeholders to clarify proposed solution, approach, products, and services
– Develops style and tone for individual proposal responses; supports win theme development
– Writes compliant, compelling, and client-centric copy, aligned to the proposed solution
– Incorporates storytelling into responses, as appropriate
– Transforms technical solutions, delivery methodologies, sales strategies, and win themes into easily understandable and readable responses
– Develops winning proposals independently and through sales team and solution architect interactions
– Supports Proposal Managers in proposal planning, management, escalating issues, and providing input to status reports
– Collaborates with the proposal team to ensure compliance, consistency, and messaging integration
– Collaborates with Graphic Designers to ideate meaningful proposal visuals
– Proofreads and edits proposal sections for clarity, concision, and consistency
– Suggests and leads opportunities for process improvement across the writing team
– Other duties as requested
Basic Qualifications
– Graduate with MBA in Marketing or Operations will be ideal
– 5 years of relevant experience post MBA or other Masters would be ideal
Great to Have
Experience of working on Deals where the solution was based on Artificial Intelligence or Digital Technologies
Experience with how System Integration and Application Outsourcing projects are delivered, the processes/tools utilized
Ability to bridge between business and technology realms. Able to play multiple functional roles
simultaneously
Experience of working with multi-shore bid teams, across time-zones, with strong solution and value articulation capabilities under stringent timelines
Excellent research skills and the ability to write persuasively and articulately is an asset
Strong Oral and Written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Power point is a plus
